First and the only Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC), in the North Region inaugurated at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management A Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) was inaugurated at G.L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, on June 17, 2013. This is Microsoft's first and only tie-up in the Northern region.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed presence of Ms.Victoria Grady ( Senior Director, Technical Audience Marketing & Evangelism, Microsoft), Mr. Joseph Landes, (General Manager-India Developer and Platform Evangelism), Ms. Jennifer Ritzinger, Senior Director, Developer & Platform Evangelism), Mr. Phani Kondepudi (Director - Academic Programs), Pratima Amonkar (Director - Strategic Audience Marketing) , Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi,(Head- Academic Programs & Initiatives) and Balaji Kesavaraj (Director Cross Audience Marketing – DPE) from Microsoft.

GL Bajaj through its Microsoft Innovation Center will:

Provide access to world-class resources for students, software developers, IT professionals, academic researchers and entrepreneurs.

Build skills and intellectual capital through training courses, employment programs and mentoring experiences.

Foster industry partnerships.

Increasing innovation through hands-on engagements.

The MIC will operate as an innovation hub providing incubation and expert hands-on support on Microsoft technology innovation, research, and software solutions, aiming to create a pool of student technology experts in the state.

G.L.Bajaj MIC Academic

The G.L.Bajaj MIC will provide students with a welcoming space to learn about and receive training from skilled specialists regarding the tools and technologies being used for specific courses. In addition, the facility will help students build Project and experiential opportunities for better workforce preparedness. Meanwhile, the MIC will offer faculty an open, physical location to ask questions and receive guidance on curriculum development and research projects..

GL Bajaj MIC Startups:

The G.L.Bajaj MIC will provide entrepreneurs and startups with access to skills and development trainings, mentoring and networking opportunities, and membership in Microsoft BizSpark. This membership includes access to software, developer tools, services and support. With access to the MIC facility, Microsoft technology experts, and the latest in hardware and devices, entrepreneurs and startups can receive help to further develop their ideas and test solutions.
